Miss Amber, Mia's teacher

I was driving Mia home yesterday, and asked the usual questions.. what did you do today? what was for lunch?
"Miss amber was mad at me."
"Why, baby??"
"The spaghetti." (which she now says correctly, by the way)
"What happened?"
"Miss amber was mad at me...."
"Did you make a mess?"
"Yeah."
I didn't get the full story out of her, but I told her I'm sure Miss Amber still loved her. She mentioned it AGAIN on the way to school this morning. She was very pouty when she said that Amber was mad.
So I walked into school, and as I placed more diapers in the changing room, Amber said, "OH! i forgot to tell you about the events at lunch yesterday..."
I looked at Amber. "She told me! She said you were mad at her..."
"Aww!! She was sad because I got mad at her??"
"Yes, tell me what happened."
Apparently Mia, the picky princess, didn't touch her spaghetti. All the kids get the same amount, and when they're done that's it, lunch is over. Another kid wanted more spaghetti, and when everyone was finished, Amber asked Mia if she wanted hers. She shook her head, no. Amber put the spaghetti on this other kid's plate, and Mia THREW herself back onto the floor in a total tantrum, "NO, that's MINE! MY SPAGHETTI!" Poor Amber rushed to push the spaghetti back onto Mia's plate, and she calmed down.
"Are you going to eat it?"
"No."
"Can I give it to carlos?"
Starts throwing her fit again. So Amber told her that she was going to sit in the chair until she took one bite of spaghetti, now also feeling bad that she had put it on Carlos's plate and had to take it back. Sure enough, she she sat there... for a while, and finally she took the bite. (how Mommy Dearest, huh?) So when she told me the story this morning, it all made sense. She said it's TOTALLY not like her to behave that way, she doesn't usually cry out of frustration or because she's made to share something (!! not the way I would've thought...), so it was weird for her. She gave Mia a big hug and said she still loved her. All is right in the world now.
